The number of travellers in CPH Airport is rising. In 2015, more than 26.6m passengers travelled through Copenhagen Airport, which corresponds to a rise of 3.8 percent. Undoubtedly, more long haul travellers contribute to the growth as well as more incoming travellers to Denmark from Europe and the rest of the world.

The amazing A380

According to CEO of Copenhagen Airport, Thomas Woldbye, the popular long hauls have caused the growth: “The number of long hauls to and from Copenhagen have doubled in the past decade, and just last year we opened five new destinations. More routes equals more passengers and in December alone we had 15.2 % more long haul travellers, which, obviously, is a growth above average. Consequently we have expanded Pier C to welcome the extra passengers, as well as we have expanded the runway to handle the gigantic Airbus A380, which started daily flights to Copenhagen in December.
